Adolescents and Obesity

Obesity is a problem that is only once seen in adults but as the years go by, more and more adolescents and even younger children are becoming obese. Obesity is a significantly increasing problem in our society these days. There are many reasons and contributing factors associated with this problem and it is sad to say that most of these reasons are due to our lifestyle. Obesity has become what we call a “lifestyle disease” because many of obesity’s contributing factors are lifestyle associated.

Children and Lead Poisoning

Even if we live in a new house with all the latest things done to protect our children, from the paint used on the walls to the paint used on their toys, are our children really safe from lead poisoning? Lead poisoning consciousness has been fading in and out of the public’s attention. With all the advanced technology used in products that are used on and for children, we can’t help but ask, are our children really safe from lead poisoning?

Baby and Toddler Safety Mistakes

Parents often think that if we are around and keeping an eye on our young ones, everything will be okay and that they are not in danger of anything. But we don’t take into consideration that accidents happen quickly and without warning, even if the child is in our plain sight. Mistakes are the best teachers and it will almost always drive the message home that we should be extra careful.
