The responsibility of leading a child to reach his full potential rests on the parent’s shoulders. The thought of not giving your child enough support so that he can fully enhance his potential will often surface to parent’s consciousness. This thought becomes even more pronounced when your child will reach school age. The task of choosing the right school for your child will become more difficult because parents will want their chosen school to be able to mold their child to harness their full potential.

Diaper rash is a very common infection that can cause a baby’s skin to become sore, red, scaly, and tender. In most cases, the rash occurs because the skin is irritated by diapers that are too tight, soiled diapers that are left on for too long or certain brands of detergent, diapers, and baby wipes.
Diaper rash usually can be cleared up by checking your baby’s diaper often and changing it as soon as it’s wet or soiled, and by using a zinc oxide cream or ointment to soothe skin and protect it from moisture. When a diaper rash lasts for more than 3 days, even with changes to the diapering routine, it’s usually caused by candida, a yeast-like fungus. This form of the rash is usually red, slightly raised, and has small red dots extending beyond the main part of the rash. It typically starts in the creases of skin and can spread to skin on the front and back of the baby. It usually goes away after treatment with anti-fungal creams, which can be prescribed by your child’s doctor.

Although some parents bathe their babies every day for the sheer pleasure of it, until a baby is crawling around and getting into messes, a bath isn’t really necessary more than once or twice a week. When you do bathe your newborn, you may find it a little scary at first. Handling a wiggling, wet, and soapy little creature takes practice and confidence, so stay calm and maintain a good grip on him. Some babies find the warm water very soothing. If this is the case with your baby, let him linger. Others cry through the whole bath. Keeping the bathing room warm can help.
