Changes in Baby You May See Now
Physical Development
- holds chest and head up for a short time while lying on stomach
- may move arms together or legs together at same time
- brings up own body compactly when picked up
Senses and Reflexes
- grasping reflex disappears
- may bring hands together
- follows slowly moving object with eyes and head, from one side of body to the other
Mental Development
- explores own face, eyes and mouth with hand
- stops sucking to listen
Social Development
- gurgles and coos in response to sounds
- crying decreases
